SCHOOLS

Lamardelle was the first school built by my father (Rev. Jean Dorisca).  It was started as a one room school and was upgraded one room at a time.  Present date there are currently nine classrooms, an office, a nurses office and a center play area.  In the future a Trade School will be built at this location to accommodate older graduate students who are interested in furthering their education.

The Feinstein Foundation in alliance with M.E.B.B. and E.A.C.H. built a school in Arcahaie, Haiti in the summer of 2012.

In 2012 there were two classrooms being occupied with a total of 25 students enrolled.  In 2013 we were able to fill four classrooms with 53 students and five teachers.  Including one english teacher that comes in weekely.  We also changed the name to Institution Mixte Shawn Feinstein.

We are in the process of raising funds for further completion of the building to accommodate the maximum potential students.

After much repair, the children are back at the Fontamara school location.  Fontamara is located in the capitol city of Haiti, Port-au-Prince.  This is our first school built and is also our largest school.  Fontamara was very damaged after the earthquake in 2010 and was moved to an outdoor temporary site for quite sometime.  Finally we are able to hold classes in the original building, in 2013 we have nine classrooms, 190 students.
